I met a lady from Bethlehem, and she loves garlic and shared this recipe with I had to Ellbeeize it and share! OMG it's delicious and easy.
Recipe type: Main
Cuisine: Middle Eastern with a spin
Serves: 4
  • 1 head cabbage, cored
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 4 tsp. Zesty Ellbee's for heat or Asian Ginger for great flavor no heat
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce (optional)
  1. In stock pot place cored cabbage head and fill with water to full boil about 5 minutes.
  2. Mean while in bowl place ground beef or turkey, uncooked rice, and Ellbee's. Mix well with hands.
  3. Get 9x13 pan out. Take cabbage leaf one at a time, cut out large vein (it makes it easier to roll)
  4. Scoop about a ¼ c of your meat mixture on the cabbage leaf and roll into nice log. place into pan. Finish meat mixture. Heat oven to 400* Pour water over rolls until covered. This will steam rice and cook meat perfectly. Cook covered for 30-40 minutes until water is gone. Then top with sauce, return to oven and cook 15 more minutes if you prefer, and serve. AMAZING
